ANESTHESIA SERVICES PROVIDED

Office based anesthesia is a great way to keep your patients in your office without referring them elsewhere. The patient is comfortable and in this environment you, as the provider, can accomplish the work efficiently and effectively. If you have any specific questions please email the Sunshine Dental Anesthesia team at info@sunshineda.com. A response is typically within a few hours.

Nitrous Oxide Anesthesia

MILD (ANXIOLYTIC) SEDATION

Sometimes patients benefit greatly by having a very mild sedation with just one or two medications. The purpose of this light sedation is to decrease the anxiety and stress that might accompany their dental treatment.

Anesthesia IV

IV MODERATE (CONSCIOUS) SEDATION

Moderate sedation is a good choice for patients who are very anxious for treatment but may not be a good candidate for in-office general anesthesia. This may be a good choice for those patients who have a more complex medical history or for those patients who desire amnesia more than sedation. This is also commonly referred to as a concious sedation because the patient is able to respond to verbal commands during the procedure.

Anesthesia Circuit Mobile

INTUBATED GENERAL ANESTHESIA

This is true general anesthesia where the patient is completely asleep. The patient will be intubated (breathing tube placed) in order to secure their airway. This procedure is designed to allow the patient to be completely unaware of the procedure and have complete amnesia completely void of pain and odors.
This is a great option for viable canidates where there is extensive treatment that needs to be performed.

Anesthesia Recovery post treatment

OPEN AIRWAY GENERAL ANESTHESIA

This is very similar to the intubated cases however there is no breathing tube placed in the airway. The airway remains open and attempts are made to place barriers to protect debris from obstructing the persons ability to breath. This can also be a very safe option for viable canidates with appropriate procedures.
